Boston Calling is always a staple summer event in Boston and an excellent excuse to indulge in good music and delicious food during a beautiful spring weekend.
For the vegan and vegetarian community in Boston, the headliners include both the musicians as well as the food line up. With Hozier, Odesza, Twenty One Pilots, Tame Impala, Travis Scott and many other musicians, the backdrop was already set for a relaxed but upbeat night of dancing. The food lineup for the Boston Calling 2019 Ten Year Anniversary Festival included Bon Me, The Chubby Chickpea, Love Art Sushi, Sate, and Whole Heart Provisions. Last, but certainly not least, was my personal favorite, a repeat Boston Calling vendor, Fomu!
The famous plant-based, made from scratch ice cream is the perfect way to cool down in the middle of dancing in the sun all day. And, although not on the official foodie lineup, THERE WERE VEGAN OREOS!
The food was perfect for filling up as a meal and for refreshing feel-good snacks throughout the day and night of the festival.
Overall, Boston Calling was another great year, as people left the long weekend humming their favorite tunes and full of vegan food.
